Priorities

Two weeks ago, my wife's colleague had her handbag snatched near her office in Jalan Semantan.

A day later, my babysitter's purse was snatched in the early morning at Pusat Bandar Puchong.

The day after that, my wife's eldest sister was injured and hospitalized after a snatch thief grabbed her handbag as she walked towards her home in Simpang Renggam.

And what was the police busy doing during that time?

Where is the compassion to help citizens in need, to ensure they have safe streets to walk on? Where is the urgency to go after those who are the real threats to our country's security?

Instead, much manpower and effort are wasted to serve political masters to achieve their selfish agendas, not to mention inconveniencing millions of people.

I appeal sincerely to your conscience - WHERE ARE YOUR PRIORITIES? Or do you not have any conscience left?

I do not currently support PR to overthrow the government, but it seems BN is trying very hard to make me.

Last week, my colleague was snatched off her laptop backpack while walking towards her car, she was dragged several meters on the tar road and slightly injured. All the police did was to tell her to write a report by herself and they continue watching TV in the police station...very dissaponting!!

Pat, these incidents you mentioned were not just happened in KL but in Kuching too. Daylight robbery, snatched theft, broke in etc... Alas, what are the police doing everyday???

Unless the racism in Malaysia is rooted out, Malaysians have no hope.

In truth, police cannot be everywhere like in the case of Kuching, we have only 500 personnel and this is inclusive of typist, office staff, cleaners so those action on the road may dwindle down to 400 and if divide by 3 shifts...we may only have calculated 125 effective policemen on the road...if further divide on various sections and those effective and useless, the number could be down to 25 policemen...

That is why today...police has been urging for public to join forces to combat crimes. How many of us are ready ? It is normally to feel that others can do it but not me as I have my family to take care. The least thing for us to think is to start lodging complaints on the criminals/police in action and etc openly as we may be eyemarked...

For start to transformation, we must continue to provide our support to the authorities concern in nabbing those culprits and beside our MPs must start to carry their real duties as MPs protecting us by looking into these social issues or even stiffer penalty for snatchers (chop their hands) like rapist...to castrate them !

But MPs now is busy politiking over other issues ! Puiz !

While I read the report of a group of FRU personnels beating up the poor driver of car, I start wondering are the police duty is to protect the civilians.

The drive might break some traffic rule like you and me did sometime. He did not deserve to be beaten by a group of police who act like gangsters and beat until he was unconscious and had to be hospitalized. This is simply barbaric act and I believe it was racial motivated.

Why the police don't go out and catch the snatch thieves and robbers? Why they act so violently to an innocent citizens? Are the police has right to execute law in their own hand? Then, what is the purpose of the judical system? Is the judical system so corrupted until the police has to take the law into their own hand.

This is not the only case. Other reknown case is the police who murder a Mongolian woman who is miraculously connected to politicians and involved in weapon purchase.

mygreatbuds, I don't agree with what you said.

Do you know, I can see police everywhere during festival season, especially Chinese New Year! You should know what they are doing.

BUT, sad to say that all of them will disappear when things happened. Do you agree?

Do you know, there are country you hardly can see any police, but they are peaceful! WHY????
